We offer inclusive, personalized perinatal, labour, and delivery support, empowering your family with confidence through a structured journey from early pregnancy through 6 weeks postpartum. Your unique needs are at the heart of our practice.
What's Included:
Personalized Prenatal Guidance
To provide ongoing education, address all your curiosities, and ensure you feel fully informed and confident in your decision-making.
Home Visit Schedule:
Monthly check-ins until 26 weeks.
Bi-weekly visits until 36 weeks.
Weekly visits until your baby is born.
Labour & Delivery Support
Continuous, respectful support during labour and delivery, honouring your birth preferences and empowering you every step of the way.
Structured Postpartum Care (6 Weeks)
Purpose: To ensure a smooth transition and provide crucial, hands-on support during the critical early weeks.
Visit Schedule:
Immediate check-ins at 24, 48, and 72 hours after birth.
Weekly one-hour home visits until your baby is 6 weeks old.
Bonus: Extra visits for dedicated lactation or feeding support can be arranged.
Funding Options
We are approved with the DAFGP for subsidized funding for those who identify as Indigenous. Please inquire for details.

Prenatal Classes
We are pleased to collaborate with qathet Circle, a dedicated prenatal and postpartum support group. qathet Circle is expertly led by a team of professional doulas, certified prenatal educators, and a registered Midwife, collectively providing a comprehensive and nurturing environment for families throughout their birthing journey.
The qathet Birth Collective actively refers its clients to qathet Circle's full suite of services, which includes comprehensive prenatal classes, valuable postpartum group meet-ups, and informative sessions covering both home birth and hospital birthing options.
This close partnership ensures the delivery of holistic care and education, successfully empowering families with essential knowledge, community connections, and professional guidance spanning from pregnancy through the postpartum period.
Lactation Support
Breastfeeding is important for feeding and bonding between mother and baby. At qathet Birth Collective, we know breastfeeding can be hard and offer support tailored to each mother’s needs. Whether it’s help with latching or milk supply, our experienced team is here to assist.
We also support other feeding methods, like bottle-feeding or using supplements, helping families choose what works best for them. Emotional support is key, and we provide a caring space for mothers to share their feelings.
Our goal is to help mothers feel supported, informed, and confident throughout their feeding journey.
Birthing Suite Rental
In our ongoing commitment to expanding accessible options for safe home birth experiences within the community, we have made the decision to establish a dedicated birthing suite.
This suite is ideally positioned for clients who desire a home birth but may live outside the immediate city limits or require an alternative space that is not their personal residence.
The suite is strategically located less than one minute away from qathet General Hospital. This proximity offers a significant advantage, providing both your family and your medical provider with the confidence to utilize our birthing suite, ensuring a safe and fulfilling home birth experience with immediate access to hospital resources if necessary.
Beyond its function as a secure and welcoming home birth location, this space is designed to serve as a community hub. We will host a comprehensive variety of groups and classes here, including foundational prenatal education sessions, essential postpartum support groups, and other community gatherings to support families throughout their entire journey. We are here to help you navigate this important chapter in your life, providing the necessary infrastructure and support.
